The White Party originated at our sister restaurant, Shorty Pants Lounge & Marina, and it was held there for 10 years. The event grew in popularity to the point that it was moved to Dog Days for the additional space. This will be our 4th year playing host, and we're thrilled to do so! There will be live music, awesome specials, and fun happening all night long. |

Stevie Newman grew up on real music. Rural music. You know, the good stuff. Born into a musical family, he soaked up the constant exposure to Gospel hymns of the churches his family still attends. He was also struck by the music of Haggard, Jones, Williams, Robbins, Cash, the Carter Family, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ry Cooder and KISS.
Taking up guitar at age 14, these influences mixed with countless others to form Stevies unique style of playing. Both Guitar Player Magazine and Vintage Guitar Magazine have featured the self-taught multi-instrumentalist and profiled his style.
Newmans songwriting style is as unique as his guitar playing. His appreciation for styles ranging from English & Scottish folk ballads all the way to rock & roll, his rural Baptist Missouri upbringing and his love of literature combine to form a style & point of view all his own. |

In the last five years he has grown his solo career as well, playing over 500 shows over that time. . |
